Helping Characters Come to Life — Literally — on Apple TV+

Ghostwriter holds a really special place in my heart, and not just because it was one of Apple TV+’s flagship originals at launch. Getting to work as acting coach across all

episodes of this beautifully crafted kids’ series was an absolute gift.

Developed by J.J. Johnson and Andrew Orenstein — produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment for Apple TV+ and Sesame Workshop — this show had an intentionality and warmth baked in from the very beginning. Executive producers Luke Matheny, Christin Simms, and Blair Powers built something that genuinely respected young audiences. The premise — a ghost haunting a bookstore who releases fictional characters into the real world — is as playful and inventive as it sounds.

Isaac Arellanes, Amadi Chapata, Justin Sanchez, and Hannah Levinson were a joy to work with — sharp, curious, game for anything. Helping them find their way through some genuinely magical storytelling, across seasons one and two, is exactly the kind of work that feeds your soul. I’m so proud of what this show became and so grateful I got to be part of it.
