Five Seasons at Camp Kikiwaka — and I Wouldn’t Trade a Single One!

From my first day on set as a dialogue coach all the way through directing episodes across multiple seasons, Bunk’d has genuinely been one of the greatest adventures of my career. What a run! Disney Channel’s longest-running live-action series, and I got to be part of it from 2019 all the way through 2024 — that’s not something I take for granted for a single second.

The incredible creative team behind this show — showrunner and executive producer Erin Dunlap, alongside EPs Miranda May, David Booth, Valerie Ahearn, and Eric Schaar — built a family that extended way beyond the Camp Kikiwaka cabins. Watching the show evolve season after season was nothing short of inspiring.

And the cast! Miranda May, the heart and soul of this show for all seven seasons, is simply one of the most gifted comedic performers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working alongside. Watching her, Mallory James Mahoney, Raphael Alejandro, Will Buie Jr., Shelby Simmons, Israel Johnson, Trevor Tordjman, Shiloh Verrico, Luke Busey, and Alfred Lewis bring joy to kids everywhere — week after week — was the kind of privilege that reminds you why you got into this business. Thank you to my entire Disney family. Camp Kikiwaka forever. 🏕
